Solidworks Tutorials

For the past few years I have been working with Solidworks to create a series of tutorials on how you can use Solidworks and 3D printing to create a wide variety of things. They range from props from video games and movies to miniature replicas, engineering parts and even prosthetic hands.

The basis of these projects are to show people the basics of 3D printing and use this knowledge to inspire their own ideas and projects. This is not a step by step guide on how to design, it is a guide on the fundamentals of the design process when designing for 3D printing.

I have many more projects planned for the future with Soidworks and they will be updated here as they are released, but in the mean time check out these projects which have been completed. Each blog post contains a detailed blog where I discuss the process in some detail as well as a video going over the project with awesome time lapses.
